Tillis Hill – Jan. 21-24, 2021: Located in the Withlacoochee State Forest, between Invernes & Brooksville. Sites available now (all with elec.), but going fast – don’t hesitate. Better to reserve & cancel, than to be left out! SFTR sites 1-12 , etc; & you can’t take your horse to your campsite. Picayune – Perhaps…Feb. 2021? TB Eddy Ruiz is trying to secure a date & fee info! Pull your trailer under the pines & near small paddocks- with water. A few BBQ grills, porta-potty, & our awesome club-built SFTR pavilion. Use your own corral, high-line, & tent camping is allowed. Special-use permit needed from the Florida Forest Service.
Shangri-la – Feb. 11-15, 2021: Located along the Cross Fla. Greenway in Ocala. Bathhouse has hot showers & flushing toilets. A single high-line post on your horse-site, or bring your own line; or your corral. Water is close to each camp site, potable, but not for hook-up. Primitive- No electric, but generators may be used. Big So. Fork, Tenn. – Apr. 28-May 4 then Whetstone Trails, S.C. – May 5-6. Big South Fork National River & Recreation Area Bandy Creek Campground, Oneida, TN; dates: April 28 arrive – leave May 4, 2021. The B Loop is closest to the stables & we recommend that loop. We’ll all be closer for sharing fireside stories & pot luck dinners, etc. The reservation window for that time frame has just recently opened, reserve now, later they will be booked. Campsites are $25 per night. Stalls are $15 per night.
